Cannes Day 2

The morning saw Aishwarya Rai posing in an Emilio Pucci day dress with Louboutin espadrilles. After the horse mane, this is a much much better showing. And the sunglasses hide the brow. What more to ask for? Very very nice.

In the evening, she wore a black Armani Prive gown to the premiere of On Tour. I love the dress and the Ferregamo clutch but would have loved the shoes in a slightly darker shade. She posses amazingly well, and aside from the brow, she look gorgeous albeit a little tired.

Deepika Padukone also made her one day appearance for Chivas wearing a sari created by Rohit Bal. I absolutely loved the sari and the back detail on the blouse. The kundan earrings are to die for as well. The make up is on the spot this time. Love the look but maybe a longer pallu? Ok ok, I won't complain. Love the look.

And It Continues...

Just when we thought that Aishwarya had fixed her international wardrobe, she goes and gets herself a new hairstylist who makes her hair into a bee-hive that is about the size of her face. And I don't want to get started on the left eyebrow. But I have to ask, why is it pointing north when everything else is pointing south? Really now...!! What a way to ruin that lovely Elie Saab couture gown. It's one of the most beautiful dresses I've seen in a long time. All that said, below the neck, an awesome appearance.

Cannes Film Festival Style

Deepika Padukone is representing India at the Cannes Film Festival this year and she is being dressed up by Rohit Bal. After a hiatus due to his illness, Rohit Bal has promised us some gorgeous clothes for Ms. Padukone. He says he wants to make her look like the Indian princess she is. Here's a first look at what is to come in the next few days.

I am liking the white and brown. But what has suddenly happened to Ms. Padukone's otherwise flawless make up person? What is the deal with her foundation that doesn't match her skin tone and her eyes? Is she trying to channel some weird form of Aishwarya Rai and Kareena Kapoor. Am loving the outfit the more I look at it. I think it looks even more awesome on her because of her height, but can she please please take someone else for her make up? Pretty please?
